Something About Maps

Produced by a Kalamazoo College-educated cartographer, this engineered take on the Columbia River (and five other waterways) apes the linear style pioneered by Harry Beck for the London Underground in the 1930s, and clearly delineates the system's rivers, creeks, forks, etc., ranging from the Snake, to the Big Wood, to the Grande Ronde -- the latter being what Tiki Barber says when his brother talks about having the former.
