The Warby Parker of Mattresses

Making the search for a mattress a whole lot less sleazy and expensive than your last trip to Sleepy's, Tuft & Needle's a relatively new online mattress purveyor selling memory foam-esque versions for as little as $200, thanks to a business model that removes all the madness of the traditional retail game.

Already the #1 rated mattress on Amazon — it's nowhere near making this list — they've just added a new, ultra-plush 10-inch version to their stock of five-inch twin, full, queen, and king-sized offerings, the largest of which will only set you back $600 (a cool grand less than you'd shell out for a similar-sized Tempur-Pedic). But wait, there's more! The thinner ones also easily fold futon-style, a perfect feature for urban nomads and the people they con into helping them move.
