After uncovering a fleet of incredible houseboats and chic NYC apartments for rent on Airbnb, a feeling of curiosity and wanderlust hit us that just couldn't be ignored. That is, what's Airbnb like abroad? More specifically, what's Airbnb like in the some of the more dangerous countries in the world? By using the Global Peace Index as a measure of danger, we found some surprisingly nice-looking apartments for rent in the bottom 25 of the 162 most dangerous places on earth. (A high GPI is bad.) Just goes to show you, there can be some bang-up spots in statistically dangerous countries.
Of course, there were a couple countries that seemed to be against popular apartment-sharing site (we're lookin' at you, Syria and North Korea), but the rest could be easily categorized as "not too shabby." Tl;dr, I'm moving to Myanmar.
