The 11 Manliest Candles On The Market

Guys, there's no shame in coming home from a hard day's work, taking off your boots, grabbing a beer from the fridge, and lighting a candle. A while back we did a story about the best candles to buy for the lady in your life; now we're switching it up with 11 aromatically badass candles to make your place smell nice.

Yankee Candle MMM, Bacon! - $27.99
There's actually an entire line of manly Yankee Candles, but this one is the shining example of what all guys everywhere want and need. Raise your hand if you don't want the scent of fresh, sizzling bacon permeating throughout your house. Thought so. Well done, Yankee Candle. You know us too well.

Sydney Hale Co. Tobacco + Sandalwood  - $28
Burn tobacco inside without breaking the law or setting off fire alarms? This must've been what the sixties were like! The added sandalwood compliments and tames the tobacco to ensure you won't emerge from your room smelling like a cuban humidor

Odin EDP 03 Century Candle - $65
Black musk, amber, and smoky vetiver make up this hand-poured black candle. It looks as good as it smells and will burn for up to 60 hours, which might make you scream out something like this

Chicago Candle Co. Kentucky Bourbon Candle - $14.95
Does anyone else feel compelled to speak in a slow Southern drawl whenever Kentucky bourbon enters the picture? This handcrafted soy wax candle recreates the warm, caramel aroma of bourbon and burns for up to 22 hours. If it could get you drunk through smell alone, that'd be a damn fine product.

Man-Cans Memphis Style BBQ - $9.50
Come on. Not only is this great on its own, but it's the perfect pairing with the Kentucky bourbon candle. These actually have a great story behind them, too. Man-Cans purchases soup, donates it to charity, cleans out the cans, and fills them with wax. Good scents + good deeds = double good.

Blind Barber Tompkins Scent - $88
Named after NYC's Tompkins Square Park and Blind Barber's East Village location, this scent aims to bring you back to the leather seat of a barber's chair. The aromatic combination of honey, smoke, leather, and lavender comes in midnight blue and is housed in barbicide jars.

Malin + Goetz Cannabis Candle - $52
There's more to this candle than meets the eye. Alongside the familiar interesting smell of cannabis are hints of lemon, orange, fig, pepper, oakmoss, sandlewood, and amber-patchouli. The website is pretty adamant in suggesting this candle is an aphrodisiac. Who are we to deny that? Though there are always alternative methods...

Buckler's Camp Blend Candle - $38
With over 45 hours of burn time, you can spend as much of the night as you want reminiscing about the time you spent with your friends telling ghost stories around a campfire in the middle of the wilderness. Wild grass, blackberry, and California laurel are some of the scents that make up this nostalgic blend.

Chandler Candle Co. Fresh Cut Grass - $18
Remember those hot summer days when your parents would make you mow the lawn? You'd experiment with mowing elaborate patterns in the grass before giving in to their orders. The best part was going back inside for an ice-cold soda and cartoons. Then you'd be in bed and discover stray blades of grass between your toes. Those were the days.

Prospector Co. Burroughs Flame - $35
The scent of freshly chopped wood and spicy leather make up this unmistakably masculine candle. This smooth vegetable wax blend is hand-poured into a sturdy glass tumbler — which can be used later for sipping a nice whiskey for those nice nights off.

Saturdays Santalum + Cedrus - $35
Spicy. Woody. Cedarwood and sandalwood. Free from the bells and whistles of all those novelty candles out there with a dapper jar, this no-nonsense candle is aimed to be burned with company — because you can't always have your place smelling like BBQ and bacon.
