There's A Hot New Way To Boil Water

If you enjoy a cup of tea every now and again, you know how annoying it is to boil the water. You always end up with more water than you need, which is frustrating because you know the boil time could have been shorter. A new alternative, the Miito heats just the amount of water you need right in your mug.

The Miito has a simple, intuitive design: simply place whatever vessel your hot water is in onto the base, place the rod into the vessel, and press the button on the base. The water boils quickly—about a minute for a normal sized glass cup, 2.5 for a larger ceramic kettle—and the rod never heats up, so you don't have to worry about getting burned.

The Miito is currently fundraising via Kickstarter campaign, which can be found here. Commitment pledges with pre-orders of the device start at €90, or around $100, with a shipping date of April 2016.
