A small village in the Austrian Alps is the last place you might expect to find the latest in cutting-edge modern architecture—but all it takes is one look at the Mountain View House and you'll yearn for steep slopes, rolling hills...and perfectly geometrically designed homes.
The three-story home is built into the natural slope of the hill.
While the interior is mostly concrete with wood accents, there is a twist—although visually the structure appears normal, the floors are concrete while the ceilings are made of wood, the opposite of standard design practice.
Of course, location is the main draw here. When you're surrounded by some of the most picturesque real estate on Earth, it's best to just focus on what's around you.
