This machine makes soup from scratch in 20 minutes

Turning out delicious stews, bisques, and brothy deliciousness in less time than it would take to watch "The Soup Nazi" episode, the Philips Soupmaker is essentially an immersion blender surrounded by an electric tea kettle. In just 20 minutes, it simultaneously pulverizes and warms its contents into a piping hot four-serving meal.

Roughly chop and toss in whatever your concoction calls for, select one of the five viscosity settings, and fire it up. It'll even keep what's inside warm for up to 40 minutes after it's wrapped, should you need to step away for longer than the quick cook time to watch more Seinfeld.

And if you'd rather something cold, no sweat, as it's also equipped with a normal blender setting for whipping up smoothies, milkshakes, and other heat-phobic blends.
