This Is What Superheroes Would Have Looked Like In The 17th Century
This remarkable new series of Flemish-style portraits captures the essential fragility of incredibly powerful fictional characters, the same way nobility would have been painted back in the day.
Entitled Super Flemish, it's the work of French photographer Sacha Goldberger, who portrays the good (Captain America, The Hulk, Superman...), the bad (Darth Vader, The Joker...) and a few dainty fairy tale characters in full 17th Century regalia, neck ruffs and all.
Turns out, The Joker is truly terrifying in any century.
