This retro modern masterpiece sits atop a hill along the edge of a nature preserve, taking in one hell of a view with minimal impact on the surroundings. The single-story structure is sandwiched between two sweeping swaths of concrete, the lower of which is hoisted just slightly off the ground to create the illusion that it's floating above the grass while permanently docked in an L-shape with the gorgeous in-ground swimming pool.
The wood-enclosed portion is divided into four distinct sections, one for the four bedrooms, one for the master suite, one for the garage, and one for the "services" (kitchen, laundry, sitting room, bathroom, and maids rooms). The sweeping floor-to-ceiling sliding glass paneled section, shown in better detail in the main photo above, serves as the living room. Though frankly, there's not a single square foot of this place you wouldn't want to live in.
