The iBlock Is The Cutting Board Of The Future
Using your iPad as an on-demand cookbook is super handy, until the inevitable moment you spill a quart of scalding hot boullion all over the place. Hello crusty meat juice Home button! Now there's a better way, thanks to the iBlock.
From the crafty folks at Brooklyn Butcher Blocks, each solid wood iBlock has a half-inch slot carved into the edge (on either side) for securing an iPad 2 at an optimal viewing angle while you chop your heart out. And for those moments of aggressive cutting when the board might slip around a bit, you can drop the raised back flush against the edge of the counter to keep things less bloody.
If you're a sucker for a particular type of wood, they come in walnut, maple, and cherry (or with a special brickwork pattern, seen above).
