Developed specifically for Johnnie Walker Black Label, the blankets not only evoke the nose of the delicious brown liquid (according to the BBC, the team at JW picked up on scents of "rich malt, golden vanilla, red fruit and dark chocolate tones"), but they're also made using the colors of the ingredients of Black Label.
Using a special process, the iconic Harris Tweed is imbued with the special scent in a such a way that it will remain through dry cleanings. But don't throw out all your old blankets just yet, as they won't be rolled out to European consumers for a little while, and there's no word yet on its availability stateside. Is it too late to ask for a Christmas miracle?
Joe McGauley is a senior editor at Supercompressor, and all his blankets smell like whisky, unintentionally.
