Wu-Tang Is Selling Just One Copy Of Their New Album... For Over $1M
Further proof that the Wu-Tang Clan ain't nothing to f...ollow the rules, they're ditching the whole notion of mass production or digital streaming for their new album, with plans to release a single, beautifully crafted copy, which — after touring museums, galleries, and venues around the world for carefully guarded listening sessions — will be up for grabs to one lucky person for well over $1,000,000.
In the works for nearly six years, The Wu - Once Upon A Time In Shaolin is a 31-track double-album that was secretly recorded with the entire Wu crew and special guests like Redman, Bonnie Jo Mason (a.k.a. Cher), and even some FC Barcelona soccer players. And befitting the exclusive piece of art that it is, it's packaged in a nickel-silver box designed and hand-carved by the British-Moroccan artist Yahra.
