Andy Warhol’s $85 Million Hamptons Estate Is For Sale

If you're looking to get your own little place in the Hamptons, you may as well get something with some culture. This Montauk estate—with its own name, Eothen—was owned by Andy Warhol and his collaborator, Paul Morrissey.

The estate has a main house surrounded by six cottages and hosted the likes of Jerry Hall, Cheryl Tiegs, Liza Minnelli, Liz Taylor, John Lennon, Mick Jagger, and Jackie Kennedy in its day, so you're getting some major residual star power. When Warhol bought the place, he paid $225,000, and even accounting for inflation, the estate experienced a 70-fold increase of value. Once you get it, you should probably hold onto it for a bit, just in case that type of lightning strikes twice.

Brett Williams is an editorial assistant at Supercompressor. He can probably afford about one square foot of Hamptons real estate.
