Amazon Prime Is on Sale For $67, But Only on Friday

Good news for everyone who loves great deals, quality programming, and a service that will send you dish soap and booze in the same night: in celebration of the five Emmy award wins for Amazon's original series, Transparent, at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards, Amazon is selling subscriptions to Prime for—you guessed it—$67. You know, $67, 67th Emmys.

What's the catch? There's no catch... okay, there's kind of a catch: it's a 24-hour thing. According to an Amazon press release, the one day discount "will start on Friday, September 25 at 12:00 a.m. ET and end at 11:59 p.m. PT, new members can sign up for this limited-time Prime offer at Amazon.com/TransparentPrime." For those just reading this article on Friday: swarm!

For those not familiar with the perks of Prime, new members can expect free two-day shipping, Amazon Instant Video, Amazon Prime Music, unlimited photo storage, and more. Amazon Prime is typically $99 a year and, according to Jezebel, current members can take advantage of this deal by purchasing a gift subscription for the promotional price and then emailing it to yourself. Deceptive or genius ? Or both?!
