Cork and Fork

Opening this Saturday, Cork's first DC incarnation's a cheery, red/blue/green-walled shop hawking a full wall of high-end beers (from Hebrew's Rejewvenator to Stone's Levitation Ale), and 1200 wines from around the globe (including a 100-bottle, certified-organic section); the whole operation's adorably family-run, and led by a patriarch who was "exiled" from his native Champagne in the 70's for working with Australian vino-producers, leaving him to immigrate with his Yellow Tail between his legs.
