It's tough to get good looks and practicality in one package, or at least it will be until science allows Jeremy Clarkson and James May to procreate. For computer cases that bring it all together, snag Cote Et Ciel.
The chic Parisian tech-swaddlers have unleashed a line of Mac-friendly carry cases (for iGadgets up to laptops) that combine a handsomely minimalist aesthetic with clever functionality, starting with lining materials (microfibre neoprene, recycled PET bottles) designed to clean any exposed screens as they're slid in and out, giving new purpose to your crippling obsessive-compulsive disorder.
The line's kicked off with a trio of iPad ensconsers, including the black/grey, dual compartment Stand Bag, with a rigid protective siding that'll unfold to prop up the device for viewing or typing, and the even-more padded/strapped Pillow Stand, which can also be used as a head cushion, for those who've invested all their money in their digital Pads, and none in their real ones
For the more fully comped, there's a series of laptop carriers, starting with the Backpack, which can be opened from either the top or a large fold-over front pocket, or flat 15"/17" traveler & messenger bags, each with a pocket specifically designed for your adaptor, plus a spare compartment for "a small wardrobe", just big enough to step through into a land of magic and adventure that unfortunately turns out to be just as boring as church!
There's also a selection of elastic-strapped pouches for all varieties of iPhone/Pod, all equipped with a small compartment to place a credit or Oyster card -- the latter despised by Clarkson & May, but if they ever want a child, at least one of them might have to get over his hatred of operations involving tunnels.
