The fullest lives bring passions together: Ansel Adams' love of nature and photography produced images that will dwell in our imaginations forever, while Vanessa Hudgens' love of naturism and photography produced images that will dwell in our imaginations until...nope, already gone, bring on the next naked starlet please. Merge your passion for travel and music, at Mallorca Rocks, opening June 6th.
The second offering from Ibiza Rocks Resorts, this just-off-the-beach getaway continues Ibiza's winning game-plan: all manner of fun-in-the-sun, plus raucous nightlife centered around an outdoor concert venue impressive enough to attract major int'l acts, with all performances included in the price of lodging -- making seeing The Prodigy as easy as getting a fresh towel, though sadly without that "Freshly Laundered The Prodigy" smell. Further frolicking comes courtesy of a huge 85m pool bisected by a bridge into two lagoons, each sporting a massive plectrum logo in the tiles, and served by an always-DJ'd bar; there's also a lobby boozer plastered with rock paraphernalia, a "Backstage Bar" with live music of its own (and promises of band-attended pre-parties), and, on the main-stage, "Rockaoke", where guests can wail backed by a full band, an experience only bested by "Papereoke". Meanwhile, the 328 whitewashed apartments come with French windowed balconies, a self-catering kitchenette, a twin bedroom, and separate lounge with sofa beds for crashers; the best rooms' balconies boast a poolside/stage view, making you feel like you're at a rock opera, and tempting you to become a Cannonball Wizard.
Summer acts already booked include Calvin Harris, Dizzee, and The Courteeners, while the opening day launch party's emceed by Zane Lowe, and'll see the Kooks kooking out alongside The Bombay Bicycle Club, whose passion for music led them to form the band at 15, an age when most boys just sit around burning their imagination, wishing someone would just give them a Hug.
