WeReward

Mobile social networking has taken connectivity to a whole new level, allowing anyone to post real-time pics, or share their location so that the people those pics are of can hunt them down and mercilessly beat them. Man, connectivity blows. Use mobile tech to make money instead, with WeReward

A just-launched iPhone app harnessing social media to earn you cash on the fly, We lets you accrue "points" (redeemable for $) by proving you've either shopped at a partnering concern or performed designated "real world tasks", which unfortunately don't involve trash talking the brown-haired girl with Lyme disease then slapping her in the face through a car window. Sign in via Twitter, Facebook, or Foursquare, and We'll geolocate nearby venues offering points for patronage (typically verifiable by submitting photo evidence of your purchase or receipt), whether that's hibachi mowing at Benihana's (500 points), posing w/ your Starbucks cup (50 points), or proving you spent at least $20 at RadioShack, though who needs the 100 points when you've got ten different ways to convert a mono 1/8" jack into an RCA female receptor!? There's also a full slate of photo-based brand-specific tasks that don't require going anywhere, including evidence of you gulping a Red Bull, "hugging" your Nikes, or holding a bottle of Boudreaux's Butt Paste, in which case you're either a parent or incontinent

Once you've submitted proof and your claim's been approved you'll see an updated point balance, which can be redeemed as real coinage via PayPal once you reach 1000, coincidentally the Facebook friends required to have everyone want to mercilessly beat you.
