Developed by two bartending buds who respectively went on to biz school and Visa, PayDivvy's a free service that helps manage group moneys by tracking who owes what, securely collecting payments, and cutting checks for designated parties (creating an endless loop by requiring more bill-splitting when nobody returns the keg to get the deposit). Here are three ways that PD can make your life suck just slightly less:
Split a Bill: Enter the group's tab,
realize Dave did a terrible job of transcribing the third guitar part in Karma Police decide whether to divide it equally or designate the percentage owed by different individuals, and it'll shoot off emails to everyone involved alerting them of their crippling debt, which they can settle up by directly depositing to your bank account via the site.
Send a Bill: When people need to ante up (e.g., Fantasy Football), basically the same process as above but instead of determining who owes what %, just supply a description and a due date, though thankfully pulling money out of your friends no longer has to be as painful as childbirth.
Pay a Bill: Rather than round up $ from roommates, set up a system for monthly utilities and rent in which each person deposits their share to the site, upon which PD'll send a check on your behalf to your landlord, who given the aftermath of your parties likely won't be returning your deposit.
