Culinary aficionados, gourmet groupies, and people who just really, really love elimination tournaments, it's time again for BRAVO's Top Chef Masters: 22 world-renowned chefs, pitting their exquisite skills against one another week after week until one is crowned Top Chef Master and awarded $100,000 for their charity of choice. This year's tournament features Ethiopian-born, Swedish-raised, James Beard-winning wunderkind Marcus Samuelsson of Aquavit, Michelin-star-sporting wd-50 honcho Wylie Dufresne, and Graham Elliot Bowles, whose eponymous Chicago restaurant not only garnered national acclaim, it also paved his way to being named "Culinary Ambassador at Lollapalooza" -- where his "bistronomic" handiwork got Jane hooked on another Addiction. Judgement will again be rendered by a panel including razor-sharp food critics/writers Jay Rayner, Gail Simmons , Gael Greene, and James Oseland (if you haven't read his Cradle of Flavor: Home Cooking from the Spice Islands of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, put down that plastic container of pizza-joint red pepper flecks, and order it immediately).
Top Chef Masters airs on BRAVO every Wednesday @ 10/9c. Check out the video above for a sneak peak, and get ready to test out your own exquisite skill: sitting on the couch watching riveting television.
