Men's lives are all about sacrifice -- if that weren't the case, you would only know Hugh Jackman as "Wolverine". For a footwear shop that brings both style and comfort, hit just-opened Shane & Shawn. S&S is the debut boutique from identical twin brothers, one an ex-Chrysler engineer, the other a former Puma/Reebok/Adidas designer who's cobbled for everyone from Kevin Garnett to Eddie George (his shoe = the "Straight Ahead Cleat"). In addition to footie finery, their lothario's den's decked out with gilded divans, a drop-pocket pool table, and a full bar, because even though you're shopping, it's still happy hour somewhere. Meanwhile, their best-of-both-worlds commitment extends to their eponymous line (leather lace-ups, slip-on loafers, and half-boots), which sport comfort-tech you'd expect in your favorite trainers: rubber traction dots, and a plush, three-layer, foam-and-pig-leather insole -- like walking on mattresses, without getting yelled at by the Sleepy's salesman. For even less formality, S&S also purveys the Detny, which look built for sport, but aren't -- for when you're willing to sacrifice athletic performance for a look of stylishly unbridled athleticism.
