Applebee’s is straying from its dollar deal in the month of May. But don’t worry thirsty fans of drinking good in the neighborhood. Starting May 1 until the end of the month, the chain will be selling 2 DOLLAR DOS (as Applebee’s puts it in its now all-too-familiar caps lock promotions) plus it will extend sales of DOLLARITAs through May 5.
If you haven’t made time to acquaint yourself with Applebee’s dollar Margarita by now, it’s as good a time as any. On the beer side, the promotion applies to both Dos Equis Lager and Amber, and each draft beer comes in a frosty 10-ounce mug. The beers are a dollar more than the DOLLARITA, DOLLARMAMA and DOLLAR LIT, but is in line with Applebee’s past beer promotion, $2 Blue Moons. This time it’s Dos in all ways, from the price to the number of beer options to the beer itself. The Mexican import doesn’t have the world’s most interesting man on its side anymore, but at least it has Applebee’s.
Applebee’s must be excited about this one. Normally America has to wait until the beginning of the new month to learn what one or two dollar deal it has in the works. This month, spring came early (at least for Applebee’s).
“We brought back the DOLLARITA on April 1, and it’s been such a big hit with our guests that we’re keeping it around for Cinco de Mayo when folks have Margaritas on their minds,” Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation at Applebee’s, said in a press release. “We thought our May Neighborhood Drink, the 2 DOLLAR DOS, would be an excellent compliment to the DOLLARITA and is a big win for our guests.”
We’ll take two.
