Wash that Burrito Down with a Half-Price Margarita

We support any fast food chain that serves alcohol, especially places like Chipotle that have been doing it since the beginning. Now, after their string of recent difficulties, they’re going one step better and introducing a chain-wide happy hour (actually four hours) in some states that have locations that serve booze—including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin. The goal appears to be to lure back customers who might still be skittish.

The deals vary from location to location, but generally run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and feature half-off or 2-for-1 specials.

It’s worth noting that this is not some mystery-marg out of a frozen drink machine. While the chain’s margarita program originally used pre-made mix, it was upgraded in 2013 and now features either Patrón or Sauza tequila, with drinks shaken to order and served on the rocks. Of course, when the cashier is mixing your drink instead of a professional bartender, you get what you pay for. But we have to be honest, two-for-one prices sound like they taste pretty good.
