Forget 12 days of Christmas. Disney just released enough cocktails to celebrate the holidays for months. Nearly 100 themed winter cocktails are set to launch across the brand’s parks and resorts, so there’s a good chance you’ll still be working your way through the offerings come Christmas in July.
According to a post on the Disney Parks blog, Disney mixologists designed the celebratory tipples with traditional holiday ingredients like chocolate, marshmallow, pumpkin, baking spices and cranberry. The drinks also correspond to their respective locations.
For example, Dockside Diner at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is serving a spiked hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and a cherry that would look at home in any diner. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is serving a Tropical Snowstorm, a bourbon-based tiki drink spiced with coconut, falernum, orgeat and cinnamon, which comes garnished with a peppermint candy cane. And the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen in the German wing of Epcot is serving traditional Glühwein (aka Glögg, aka mulled wine).
While 100 different holiday cocktails may seem aggressive, it’s just the sort of over-the-top, festive indulgence that makes Disney as magical of a place for adults as it is for kids. The seasonal drinks almost justify enduring the hordes of holiday visitors at the parks…almost.
