There’s a Harry Potter Themed Bottomless Butterbeer Brunch in NYC

If some of your favorite parts of the Harry Potter series revolved around Harry, Ron, Hermione and the gang drinking butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, then there’s a new culinary experience designed just for you. A Harry Potter-inspired brunch pop-up is coming to New York, and bottomless butterbeer is included.

On Feb. 17, 5th and Mad will transform its bar into a haven for Hogwarts lovers. The brunch will feature food, games, contests, prizes and drinks themed after the Harry Potter series. Guests will be sorted into houses and can win 10 points for Gryffindor (or whatever house the Sorting Hat puts you in) by correctly answering Harry Potter trivia questions. As with any proper Hogwarts-themed event, elaborate costumes are encouraged.

The brunch comes in two sessions, one from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and one from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 and include a dish fit for the Great Hall, dessert, and all the butterbeer you could ask for (or prosecco, for those dragged in by Potterhead friends). It’s put on by the same company that organized the Mean Girls brunch in New York and London, and comes on the 20th anniversary of the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Harry Potter mania is increasing as the Broadway debut of the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child gets closer. With that in mind, you might not be able to score tickets to the brunch. You can, however, always host your own bottomless butterbeer event with Supercall’s foolproof butterbeer recipe.
