If your childhood dream was to ride the Polar Express and your grownup dream is to drink all the wine, then you’re in luck. The Napa Valley Wine Train is bringing back its Santa Trains, which combine the magic of Christmas with the wonder of wine.
Starting November 18, guests will be able to sip sparkling wine while greeting Santa, joining in on singalongs and holiday games, and helping Jolly the Bear fulfill his dream of becoming an official Santa Train Conductor Bear. If you couldn’t guess, this train, unlike the company’s others, is not strictly 21 and over. It’s a family-friendly excursion, with cocoa and cookies included in the price of a ticket (which starts at $39), as well as a toy teddy bear ornament for every child.
This year, the Wine Train has partnered with the Ticket to Dream Foundation, which offers foster children rides on the train for free. Plus, they’re accepting donated gifts for Foster Kids of Napa. So even if you don’t have kids, you can still give back to the little ones while sipping Cabernet and hobnobbing with elves.
The Santa Trains will run through December 29.
