Vinegar is a wonder liquid. It makes a mozzarella, basil, and tomato panini taste like unicorn meat. It makes french fries even more delicious, when you didn't think that was possible. It makes your house cleaner. That last one is the impetus for the latest video from Household Hacker, illuminating 10 hacks with vinegar for your house.

Among the tips this go-round are vinegar as a way to fix a faucet when water is spraying everywhere, window cleaning, and weed killing. Those are all great, but maybe try out the one where you spray vinegar at the couch on your friend's couch first. You'll want to be sure that the smell comes out before you spray down your own couch with vinegar.

Vinegar can be a great cleaning product, but it's worth remembering that it doesn't kill all bacteria and probably shouldn't be your only cleaning agent. In particular, the CDC warns that vinegar does not kill staphylococcus aureus and some other potentially dangerous bacterias. However, it is effective against e.coli and many other bacteria and can be a great cleaning solution. Plus, it's ability to dissolve mineral deposits means that your shower doesn't have to spray in four directions at once anymore.
