If you had an iPhone wish list, a crystal clear screen and not having to charge your phone every few hours would live somewhere near the top. Well, Apple is about to help you out with both those wishes.

Bloomberg Technology reports that, based on orders placed with a supplier, it looks like Apple is planning to roll out a higher-definition screen for iPhones, namely an OLED screen, come 2017, which will make tremendous strides for the display.

First off, OLED screens don't require a backlight, which Bloomberg reports is more energy efficient and could cut down on battery usage. Since iPhone users are often looking for ways to save battery life and charge their phones faster, this is a much-needed benefit.

Secondly, the screen will just look amazing overall, with a brighter, clearer display that's going to make colors pop. All good things since, you're most likely staring at that screen a lot.

Now you just have to put up with your lame LCD screen till 2017, with full knowledge that things could be so much better. But hey, at least you'll know it gets better.
