After Watching These 4K Videos of Japan, All I Want to Do Is Go to Japan

Be careful with these videos.

They're dangerous -- particularly for your wallet, because the only way to sate the pang for adventure brought on by these gorgeous 4k clips by Tokyo Street View is to travel to Japan, personally. It's a rare feat to capture the intricacies and zeitgeist of a living, breathing country in video, but here we are.

The series is an immersive, fluid, snapshot of life in the island nation, from the blinding, seizure-inducing lights of Tokyo, to the intimate kitchens of master sushi chefs, to the lush, sweeping hills that surround Mount Fuji -- it's "fly-on-the-wall" presentation is surprisingly voyeuristic, and introduces you to the culture without words. Something even the great Rick Steves has yet to accomplish.

OK, I'll shut up and let you watch these videos for yourself.
