Adorable Baby Owl Has Roadside Standoff With Police

An adorable baby owl clearly didn't give a hoot during a recent encounter with police.

Deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office in Colorado discovered the tiny ball of feathers -- a baby Northern Saw-whet Owl -- while on a routine patrol, resulting in a super cute confrontation. Video footage (embedded below) captured the brief standoff and shows the baby owl wisely refusing to back down by clicking its beak, tilting its head, and being all like, "Whoooooo me?" Owl the officer wanted to know was, "What's up?"

Needless to say, the baby owl "safely flew away," before any hootenanny ensued in the middle of the road, according to the Sheriff's Office. However, there's no word yet on how many journalists face charges for aggravated unlawful use of horrible owl puns following the incident.
