Hipsters, if you don't already own every vinyl on the market, this is your chance to get the goods without spending any of the bar funds. Amazon is giving away free vinyl records until Wednesday November 4th, 2015.
The contest, which is promoting Amazon's newly designed vinyl store, gives entrants the chance to win a different classic vinyl daily. Today's album, for example, is Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones. In case you don't know one of the most groundbreaking albums of all time, it's the one with the guy with the cucumber in his pants on the cover. Led Zeppelin was already given away in the opening days of the contest, so it's clear Amazon's not just throwing out copies of William Hung's Inspiration because nobody bought them.
You can enter the contest here, but be aware the fine print says that by entering you will "opt-in to the Amazon Music marketing email," so more spam. But if you can deal with that, you get the chance to win an album that would have made you so cool in junior high and to use the vintage line of "Want to see my album collection?" when picking up girls.
You can enter once per day, and Amazon announces which albums are up for grabs at 9 AM PDT/ 12:00 PM EDT every day, with a full 24 hours to enter for the day's album. Dibs on anything by Lionel Richie.
