When it comes to the true purpose of posting insanely good-looking food photos on Instagram, globetrotting celebrity ex-chef Anthony Bourdain and Roots drummer Questlove have, well, drastically different opinions.
In an interview to promote Questlove's new book, Something To Food About, on Urban Outfitters Television, Bourdain asks the musician and author if he thinks the point of posting photos of delicious-looking food is to make people feel bad about themselves.
"You're hoping that they're sitting there in some shit-stained underwear on their couch eating fucking Cheetos, right?" he asks, while Questlove shakes his head in disagreement. Instead, the musician said he wants to educate people via his Instagram posts, an answer that appears to baffle Bourdain.
"I want them to feel bad," the Parts Unknown host says. "Look at what I'm eating! This is the way that we experience food now. This is the way that we go out to dinner, this is the way that we talk about dinner, and however much we might want to sneer at that, it's forever changing who's eating dinner."
Well, then. Tell us how you really feel, Tony... The two also discuss Cronuts, Cap'n Crunch cereal, and how Bourdain is basically the only chef who hasn't sent treats to Questlove and the "Tonight Show" team. Check out a clip of the entertaining talk above.
