The Actual Auntie Anne Is Hosting a Pretzel-Making Tutorial on Facebook

There's something intoxicating about the scent of Auntie Anne's pretzels, but you're likely not hitting the mall or airport anytime soon -- pandemic and all. Luckily, we can whip up the fragrant food court staple right in our own kitchens.

Earlier this month, the chain brought back its DIY pretzel kits, and now, Auntie Anne herself is jumping on Facebook Live to show us how the baking's done. On Sunday, May 31 at 4pm, founder Anne Beiler and president Heather Neary are hosting a virtual pretzel rolling tutorial, so you can recreate the magic while still quarantining.

Buying the pretzel kit is your first step. Each pack comes complete with the necessary ingredients and instructions for 10 soft pretzels -- whether you want classic salty knots or the cinnamon sugar variety is entirely your call. They'll run you $20 a kit, but can you really put a price on filling your house with that classic Auntie Anne's aroma? I think not.

"We heard from our guests loud and clear that they are missing our hand-rolled, golden brown pretzel snacks, and quite frankly, we're missing our guests, too!" Neary said in a statement. "The DIY At-Home Pretzel Kit is not only a great way to satisfy those pretzel cravings, but also creates a fun activity for families to enjoy together while remaining at home."

If you haven't yet ordered your kit, it likely won't arrive in time for the live tutorial -- which is going down directly on the Auntie Anne's Facebook page, fyi. But luckily, you can always watch the video later. So tune in at 4pm Sunday, snag some tips from the Auntie Anne, and then bless your entire household with gift of soft pretzels.
