"It tastes like a science experiment," is about as far as you can get from a five-star review. And that's just one of many harsh critiques voiced by displeased chefs as they taste-test some pretty nasty-looking microwavable dinners.
A Facts. video shows three chefs taste-testing four frozen dinners and appraising each dinner on a 1 - 10 scale, and though the reviews were mixed, the comments were just stellar. They included:
Irish Beef Dinner: “Looks a bit swampy”
Burger: “The meat is like a stiff foam”
Vegetable Spaghetti: “I think you can eat healthy and not torture yourself”
Sticky Toffee Pudding: “There’s a fat that coats your whole mouth like a wallpaper paste.”
Yeah, you'll want to watch the video for more terrible reviews. In the end, the chefs are clearly not sold on the concept of quick dinners when that means cutting corners on quality and taste. One chef sums up his feelings saying, “I’m not converted and I’m a little concerned."
Anyone hungry? Yeah, probably not.
