A squeeze of lime in your Corona is delightful. A shard of glass in your Corona? Not so much.
Constellation Brands Beer Division issued a recall of some US-distributed Corona Extra 12-packs and 18-packs due to particles of glass in the product. That's definitely not the way to feel refreshed on a warm spring day. Luckily, the brand reports that the recall is "very limited in scope," with less than one-tenth of one percent of bottles affected.
To figure out if you have a recalled pack, you can check the eight-digit alphanumeric production code on the neck of the glass Corona bottle and on the side of the packaging. A list of recalled production codes can be found here.
If you're the unlucky winner of one of these codes, obviously don't drink that beer, no matter how thirst-quenching it looks! No one's reported injuries yet, but you could be the first. Definitely not a claim to fame you'd want. Secondly, get reimbursed by calling Constellation Brands at (866) 204-9407.
We'll assume your summery, beach-related Corona swilling will not be interrupted otherwise.
