If you're anything like us, and have seen Tommy Boy easily 500 times (and counting), you're probably very much aware of how damn hard it is to name the funniest scene in the 1995 movie, starring Chris Farley and David Spade -- because there are just so many. However, everyone can agree that the "fat guy in a little coat" scene is hands-down among the best. We dare you to sing "fat guy in a little coat, fat guy in a little cooooaaaat" without cracking up. It's scientifically impossible.
But how did the scene come to be in the movie? On Monday night, Spade explained the origin of "fat guy in a little coat" during in an interview with Conan O'Brien (above), pointing to their days of sharing a small office space for writing sketches at "SNL." Farley would repeatedly prank Spade with the song, and needless to say, many little coats were destroyed in the process.
