A female sand tiger shark put a decisive end to a possible turf dispute at the Coex Aquarium in Seoul, South Korea, by eating her rival -- a 5-year-old male banded houndshark -- whole. As seen in a video report by Reuters, the sand tiger shark made herself extremely clear by swallowing and slowly consuming the other shark over the course of 21 hours. At one point, the video shows only his tail hanging out of her mouth. Officials at the aquarium said the 42 or so sharks maintain their own territories within the tank and that the female shark might have been startled before taking deadly action. She'll likely regurgitate the smaller shark's remain's in a few days, according to the report.
Well, they don't call it a shark tank for nothing, folks.
