Your "Netflix and chill" is about to get a big upgrade, thanks to the new Apple TV. Well, at least from a technological standpoint.

Speaking in an interview for WSJD Live, Apple CEO Tim Cook said the company's next-generation streaming box will finally launch next week, and if you're lucky, it'll take over your living room -- and probably your life -- before the month is out, according to a report by The Verge.

The new Apple TV, which Cook described as "the foundation of the future of TV," boasts an all-new remote, Siri voice control, and like your iPhone, an app store for apps and games fit for your big screen. However, you'll have to give Apple even more of your money for the new gadget -- $149 for a 32GB model and $199 for the 64GB model, to be exact. The previous version, sans all the new features, is still available for $69.

As Cult of Mac reports, pre-orders start Monday, October 26th, and it'll ship by the end of the week. Plan accordingly.
