With daring activities like bungee jumping, paragliding, and BASE jumping, there are already more than enough ways for thrill seekers to experience the mega adrenaline rush of freely flying (hopefully) without dying. But now, it looks like you can add hurtling hundreds of feet in the air from a freaking "human slingshot" to the list, as seen in a recent video.
Although it may look like one of those amusement park bungee jumping attractions at first glance, the so-called slingshot doesn't involve any sort of straps, seats, or harnesses because unlike a bungee ride, the contraption actually launches you -- untethered -- more than 300ft in the air. In fact, you'll need parachute to safely return to the ground. It's basically BASE jumping, but without the actual jumping, and just watching it will make your palms sweat.
In the clip, BASE jumpers Chris Douggs McDougall and Jimmy Pouchert are seen testing the terrifying death machine, launching hundreds of feet above Dubai at 124mph before deploying parachutes, according to a report by Mashable. The launching motion involved enduring 6 Gs of force. And, uh, probably having giant balls.
