In the pie chart that is life, the slice called "work" takes up a pretty significant chunk. Also, are you really charting out your life? Well, if so, it makes a lot of sense to live in a city that offers a great work life. That's where Glassdoor's ranking of US cities comes in.

The 2016 study took into account the number of job openings in each city, median base salary, median home value, and gave each city a "job satisfaction rating." When all these factors combined, San Jose, CA took top honors, what with it being in the tech hub of the Silicon Valley and all.

Number two and three went to San Francisco and Seattle respectively, leading to a West Coast podium sweep. But a number of East Coast cities also made the top 25, including Boston, MA and Hartford, CT for starters.

Take a look at Glassdoor's complete top 25 below, and then start packing your bags. Well, actually, maybe find a new job first.
