Video game sales have skyrocketed as people have been staying inside a whole lot due to the pandemic. Occasionally, game producers have dropped free games to bring some fresh entertainment to the long hours spent at home.

Last week, Epic Games kicked off a sale by offering Grand Theft Auto V, one of the best video games of the decade, for free. That offer is still going strong right now. You can snag a copy through the Epic Games store for free through May 21. The Rockstar game's popularity made the store crash when the freebie was announced, but things were up and running not too many hours later.

Users are getting the Premium Edition of the game, which, according to the store, includes "the complete GTA V story, Grand Theft Auto Online and all existing gameplay upgrades and content." Additionally, you get the "Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, the fastest way to jumpstart your criminal empire in GTA Online."

If you're going to jump into the store and nab a free copy, know that you'll have to turn on two-factor authentication to get a free game, per The Verge. All free games available through the Epic Store require that it be turned on. It's worth doing if only because this likely isn't the end of the free games you can pick up. Epic has been giving out free games for more than a year and said it plans to continue doing so throughout 2020.

If you already bought that, you can grab The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game for Xbox or Playstation, as well.
