How do you keep having amazing sex with your significant other night after night, year after year? Well, here's an answer that doesn't come from your over-sharing father or an elderly woman with an advice column. Here's an answer from science.
A recent study published in the The Journal of Sex Research looked into the habits of heterosexual, long-term couples to determine what factors contribute to a passionate sex life. Researchers examined more than 38,747 married or cohabiting men and women who had been in a relationship for three years or more. In other words "adults."
Summing up the results, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Chapman University Dr. David Frederick said in a press release, “Sexual satisfaction and maintenance of passion were higher among people who had sex more frequently, received more oral sex, had more consistent orgasms, incorporated more variety of sexual acts, took the time to set a mood and practiced effective sexual communication."
