Yes, IKEA Is Now Serving These Weird All-Black 'Ninja' Hot Dogs

If you thought sweet and savory ice cream hot dogs were easily the weirdest hot dogs you've ever seen, well, it looks like the Swedish meatball maniacs at the IKEA food court have created an even freakier frank that's strikingly all black -- from the meat to the bun.

It's called the 'Ninja Dog' and it's currently available at IKEA in Japan in celebration of the furniture company's 10th anniversary in the country, according to a report by Rocket News 24. IKEA Japan's website explains the black foot-long hot dogs -- and 8in buns -- are meant to resemble ninja scrolls and get their color from edible bamboo charcoal. For a little more color, you can add yellow and red belts of mustard, ketchup, or other condiments.

Although the company claims the bamboo charcoal is known to have a detox effect, just imagine the spinning roundhouse kick all that meat and coloring will unleash in your stomach... It might just bring a whole new meaning to the phrase, "element of surprise."

Think the Ninja Dog looks simultaneously weird and somewhat appetizing in IKEA's photo? Here's what it looks like in real life, via Instagram:
