But now, it looks like the fast food chain is reportedly facing a tragic shortage of the sweet-and-spicy condiments, and there's a chance that your cheeseburgers just won't be the same.
As explained in a report by Munchies, In-N-Out and several other restaurant chains in California are experiencing a shortage of the small, yellow pickled peppers -- cascabella peppers -- due to a combination of factors that have affected crops, like bad weather and soil conditions. These issues have reduced the amount of available peppers by as much as 60%, which according to Eater, ultimately forced In-N-Out to remove them from its free condiment options and ration them in small cups that are available upon request. That's right, you might not find them readily available next to the ketchup, folks.
Worse yet, the shortage could last for at least another few weeks, with a new supply potentially coming sometime next month, per the report.
