Ex-Subway Pitchman Jared Fogle has only been in prison for a few months now, but there are already indications his 15-year sentence is going to feel more like an eternity.
Fogle, who was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of possession and distribution of child pornography and paying for sex with a minor, has supposedly been the subject of near-constant threats, taunting, and beatings since becoming an inmate at a federal prison in Colorado this past December, according to a report by celebrity gossip rag In Touch Weekly. Fogle's had such a rough time that unnamed sources told the magazine the former weight loss star has already packed on as much as 30lbs.
"Jared is regularly taunted by those who have it out for him,” an unnamed source described only as a "prison insider" told In Touch. "One of the men called Jared a ‘dirty child rapist’ and told him to ‘get the f—k out’ and not come back." Another unnamed source the magazine described as "a recently released inmate" shared an account of a recent incident involving Fogle, saying, "[t]he inmate slapped him across the cheeks several times and made his face red."
Regardless of how satisfying you find this report, you should probably take it with at least one grain of salt, given the magazine's sources unattributed sources. You can check out In Touch's full story right here.
