John Oliver Lost His Mind over the Brexit Results

Days before the United Kingdom voted in favor of "Brexit," or a plan to leave the European Union, John Oliver offered a thorough, hilarious, and pointed explanation as to why it's a spectacularly stupid idea. Now, only days after the historic vote, the British comedian and host of HBO's Last Week Tonight has returned with a breathless rant about the Brexit disaster, and it's fantastic.

As seen in the (unofficial) video above, Oliver wastes no time ripping apart the politicians behind the Brexit vote, namely former London mayor Boris Johnson, UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage, and British Prime Minister David Cameron (who tendered resignation the day after the vote). Jabs include describing Johnson as "a shaved orangutan with Owen Wilson's hair" and Farage as a "three-time cover model for Punchable Face magazine." And that's just the beginning, folks.

As for Cameron, Oliver says the prime minister's resignation would have probably made him happy under other circumstances, but... well, here's how he put it:

"That’s right, David Cameron announced he’d be stepping down in the wake of the vote, which should make me happy, but in this situation, it doesn’t," Oliver says. "It’s like catching an ice cream cone out of the air because a child was hit by a car. I mean, I’ll eat it, but it’s tainted somehow."

Seeing as this week marks only the beginning of a long and painful Brexit process, there's a strong chance this isn't the last we'll hear from Oliver on the subject.
