Everyone knows the wafer is an integral part of the 5th best halloween candy, the Kit Kat. Otherwise, it's just a bar of chocolate not worth breaking off a piece. But apparently that wafer is such a big deal to one woman that her accidentally waferless Kit Kat has led her to sue -- for a lifetime of Kit Kats, no less.
According to reports, 20-year-old Saima Ahmad is asking Nestle for a lifetime supply of Kit Kats because she spent the equivalent of $2.88 on an eight-pack of Kit Kat bars that contained only milk chocolate and no wafer. After the incident, the UK undergraduate penned a letter to Nestle, voicing her discontent. In addition, she's claiming she'll take this wafer thing further if not "adequately compensated. What's "adequate compensation" for such a case? Well, according to Ahmad, it's a lifetime supply of Kit Kat Bars. Yep, because $2.88 of chocolate cased "monetary and emotional loss." She should totally hire Jackie Chiles for this one.
Justifying herself, Ahmad was quoted saying, "Clearly, if I wanted to purchase a confectionery item that is purely chocolate, I would have purchased a bar of Galaxy." She's got a point there. Not a great one, but a point.
