Your half-hearted resolution to eat more fruit just got a little easier thanks to Krispy Kreme. Watermelon jelly counts as fruit, right?
Available until July 19, 2016 at participating stores in Japan, Krispy Kreme's new summertime donut comes topped with a watermelon jelly, watermelon-flavored chocolate, and chocolate chip "seeds."
Yes, it's only available in Japan. Sorry, everyone not in Japan. But, you can at least gawk at this donut work of art in the Instagram post below.
The Real Reason Chick-Fil-A Is Closed on Sunday
In addition to the Watermelon donut, Krispy Kreme is selling the Lemon Glazed donut until July 19th. This one has lemon-flavored icing, is topped with a lemon slice, and legitimately looks beautiful.
If for some reason you'll be in Japan during the limited release, you can pick up the Watermelon or Lemon Glazed for 230 yen or about $2. Krispy Kreme Japan is also selling what it calls a "Ring Ring Summer Dozen," which includes two Watermelon, two Lemon Glazed, two Old-fashioned Banana, two Strawberry Chocolate Sprinkle, and four Original Glazed donuts. That will cost you 2,000 yen or about $19. And honestly, if you're going to do this, you might as well go big.
Will fly for donuts.
