Moe's Southwest Grill Is Giving Away Free Burritos

Moe's Southwest Grill is coming for Chipotle. Last month, Moe's dethroned Chipotle as America's most popular Mexican restaurant, and now, the fast-casual chain appears to be taking on the embattled burrito giant by re-launching its customer loyalty app -- complete with free burritos.

Here's the deal: If you download the app and sign up for Moe’s Rockin’ Rewards before August 14th, they'll give you one free burrito. The only catch is that you'll have to redeem the free burrito within seven days of signing up, which given your proclivity for pounding burritos, should not be a problem. The deal is good for both existing members of the program as well as new members, according to Moe's spokesperson. The app is already available in the App Store and Google Play.

Beyond the introductory free burrito, the actual rewards program is pretty simple: for every $1 you spend, you earn 10 points, and when you hit 1,000 points, you can redeem them for a $10 credit. Interestingly, the all-new Moe’s Rockin’ Rewards comes just weeks after Chipotle launched Chiptopia, its first-ever customer loyalty program, as part of its ongoing campaign to lure back customers after all those food-borne illness incidents last year.

But, really, who cares about fast-casual Mexican chain rivalries? The only thing that matters here is free burritos.
