The four stars of the new Ghostbusters film — Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon — spent some time pumping the tires of the reboot on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday. They addressed the many who have gone full #NotMyGhostbusters on a movie they haven't seen because women are in it, and, more importantly, they were surprised by some special guests.
Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson and Potts all dropped into Kimmel to visit the new cast and dance a bit. The quartet not only offered tacit approval of the film by taking cameo roles in the film (Murray is rumored to have a slightly larger role than the others), they have even given a big thumbs up to the film after seeing a test screening.
They old cast reunited with the new cast on the show, and ended the segment with a dance party to the Ghostbusters theme song performed live by Ray Parker Jr., who wrote the theme song.
Ghostbusters opens on July 15.
